About the society
We are a small and friendly society from a small and friendly village in the Weald of Kent. Founded in 1975, we aim to educate and entertain with talks and presentations about the history of our village and the county in which we live.
Our season runs from Autumn through to Spring, usually from October to April. Membership has been reduced following the Covid lockdowns to just £7 per person for 2021-22. This gives access to all of the talks throughout the season. Non-members are welcome to visit for £3.
Meetings take place in Frittenden Memorial Hall and are usually on the final Thursday of the month, starting at 8pm. Special exhibition and outings may have different locations and start times, but members are advised accordingly.
We are affiliated to the British Association of Local History and the Kent Archaeological Society.
